Below are the general ABU Admission requirements for direct entry into Ahmadu Bello University Zaria:
- Direct entry candidates must also possess an O’level Credit grade in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics).
- Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are relatively to their area of study.
- Direct entry candidates are required to purchase ABU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

(2) ABU, UNIJOS, UNIMAID, Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication with a minimum of Merit. (3) NTA TV College Diploma in Film and Television Production with a minimum of Merit.
