On Wednesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria, granted the EFCC’s request to produce former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor Godwin Emefiele before the court.
The Federal High Court had ordered the EFCC on Monday to produce the former governor in court or unconditionally release him. However, the EFCC did not comply with the order, so the court restated the order and adjourned the proceedings until Wednesday.
Emefiele was escorted into the court on Wednesday by heavily armed operatives.
The judge is, however, yet to sit.
