The Kano State Police Command has stepped up its security measures ahead of the verdict of the appellate court on the Abuja State Governorship election petition.

It’s important to remember that the appellate court has reserved judgment, but the police said Monday, November 13 that they’ve put the right people and equipment in the right places in the state.

The command also said that this is necessary to prevent any attempts to disrupt or disrupt law and order, Leadership reported.

Residents in Kano are being urged to continue with their normal activities, according to a statement released by the police spokesperson on behalf of state commissioner for police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel. The statement read as follows:

“The police and security agencies are assuring the good people of the state of adequate security before, during and after the declaration of the appeal judgement,” he said.
